Naran is a medium sized town in upper Kaghan Valley some 20 km from Kiwai. It is the center place for visiting Lake Saiful Malook and lalazar. With the elevations of 8,202 ft above sea level it is higher then Shogran and one of the most scenic valleys in Pakistan. Thousands of domestic tourists, photographers enthusiast and trekkers visit each year in summer. Naran valley runs parallel to Neelum Valley AJK seperated by snow covered peaks.
